A delightful flower brooch by Murrle Bennet & Co. Modelled as a flower, the stamen and petals are set with natural pearls and the leaves decorated with vibrant green enamel. Mounted to a polished 15ct gold pin, with safety chain.
Murrle Bennet & Co was established in 1884, opening in London and Pforzheim, Germany. The company advertised in 1891 as 'manufacturers and importers of British and Foreign jewellery'. Creative in the Arts and Crafts medium, the firm worked closely with Arthur Liberty who offered an ideal shop window for their jewels. Pieces often featured luminous enamels and stylised foliate forms and is now highly sought after and widely collected.
